What is the US Government doing to relieve the national debt?

I%26#039;d hate to say it but if there isn%26#039;t a way to help with the debt then maybe we should consider an additional tax. ( and fire our current president) I think what we need to do is (with out sounding too corny) to focus on our own needs and make peace with other countries, we need not threaten other countries. We should work together, we are stuck in this area. We aren%26#039;t evolving. what we are doing is living in the past, focusing on the nations problems. and not to mention, we are greedy. (does trump sound familiar, i do believe its a close race to be the richest man in the us, between trump and the owner of microsoft.) I mean besided creating business for the US what are they doing to help with the debt. And you%26#039;ve seen that %26#039;?%26#039; guy, mathew lesko, he says there are millions if not billions of dollars going to waste, where is it going and not to the current problem in the US. THE NATIONAL DEBT???

What is the US Government doing to relieve the national debt?
Why do you think the gas prices suddenly went sky high? There is NO shortage....no lines, plenty of gas....but they get MORE TAXES with higher gas prices. Government%26#039;s answer to paying for war.
Reply:Every time you raise taxes you LOWER the amount of money coming in to the Treasury. You want to eliminate the debt? Just have congress only spend money on things they have constitutional authority to do. That means no welfare, no medicare, and no paying farmers NOT to grow crops.
Reply:They are trying to find more ways to spend your money. Don%26#039;t think they haven%26#039;t thought about raining taxes. Nothing with taxes now until after the November election.
Reply:they are doing jack and squat, and jack just left town
Reply:They are doing nothing. As a matter of fact, it is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds. Our kids and grandkids will have to pay for it. Meanwhile the billionaire and millionaire friends of Bush pay almost nothing in taxes.
Reply:they are running it up
